Town Hall Veterans
Circle Make-Over.

The Garden Club of Darien enabled the renovation of the Veterans Circle at Darien Town Hall through a donation from Persephone Flower Show proceeds. This joint project with the Darien Beautification Commission was spearheaded by Juliet Cain, who is both a member of the GCD and Co-Chair of the Commission.

Invasive and overgrown plants and shrubs were removed and replaced with native plantings to enhance the Circle, which contains memorials honoring the servicemen from Darien who lost their lives in both World Wars, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Jayme Stevenson, First Selectman of Darien, commented that the new plantings are a wonderful gift to the town and will be enjoyed by all.
